Why choose Nuffield Health Oxford Hospital for your cancer treatment?

Here at the Manor hospital, we are able to deliver comprehensive private cancer services across the region and specialise in the following cancers: breast, colorectaloesophagus, stomach, duodenal, pancreatic, prostate, bladder, testes, kidneyovary, cervical, uterine and peritoneal.

We are located close to the NHS Churchill Hospital, a centre of excellence for cancer services. As a result, we have a team of eminent oncologists, physicians, surgeons and expert nurses all providing excellent private cancer care. We understand cancer can be a frightening illness - access to the best treatment, the best care, and the most up to date advice is absolutely crucial. To ensure your care is tailored to your needs, your Consultant will supervise your care in conjunction with the specialist oncology nursing team throughout your entire treatment process. Your Consultant will discuss the most effective and appropriate treatment with you following your cancer diagnosis. Your treatment pathway may include one or more of the following:

  • Surgery
  • Chemotherapy
  • Hormone therapy
  • Biological/targeted therapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • Supportive therapies e.g. blood transfusions, iron infusions
  • Other treatments including brachytherapy* and laser treatment*

*These treatments will be arranged by your consultant at another hospital.

After your initial consultation, we will arrange a nursing assessment, where the specialist trained oncology nurses will go through your treatment in detail, and arrange a date to start and take blood. This is an opportunity to view our facilities and ask any questions.

Patient testimonial

“Having cancer was a very scary experience. Jackie and her team put me at ease. They showed me around the oncology unit before my chemotherapy started and explained what to expect during chemo. They even welcomed in my family and chatted to my young daughters about ‘where mummy would be’ to help them come to terms with what was going on. The team were always there for me during and after my chemo, never too busy to answer questions or offer support. I am very grateful to them for making a scary experience a little less scary.” - RW
