How can I help you improve your health?
I began my Nuffield Health journey in April 2009 in our Surbiton FWB centre, before moving Paddington FWB centre as Clinic Manager in 2010. In 2012, I swapped the management role for a role in the Advanced Level Physiotherapy service, where I became a Lead ALP in 2013, I currently split my time between the ALP service and clinic in Paddington FWB.
My first degree was BSc (Hons) Sport and Fitness Science from the University of Bedfordshire in 1998, I began my role in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, helping healthy people improve their lifestyles. In 2001 I began a role as a physiotherapy assistant in the NHS to make sure that physiotherapy was the right role for me. I loved it and returned to university and obtained a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from St Georges Medical School, University of London in 2005.
After graduating I started my career in the NHS in South West London, whilst working part-time with Queens Park Rangers F.C. Centre of Excellence, until I joined Nuffield Health. I have been lucky enough to be part of the GB Medical Team for the Maccabi Games in 2005 and World Indoor Athletics Championships in 2017.
I believe in treating the person not the symptoms, as we are all different and respond differently to pain and its treatment. I enjoy helping people from all walks of life, not just sport. However, I do have a special interest in sports injuries and strength and conditioning for the rehabilitation, and I enjoy the challenge of diagnosing and treating those who come to me in pain. I grew up playing multiple sports and I now have a passion for helping people of all ability levels to get back to their chosen sport or training in the gym. This has driven me to further my knowledge by studying for an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary’s University, which I completed in 2020.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit in the gym, watching pretty much most sports and am a long-suffering Liverpool fan.
Come and say hello or pop in for a chat if you want to see if I can help.
