Nuffield Health has announced it is investing £50,000 as platinum partners into the Ingenuity Programme, which supports start-ups to directly address the UK’s social and environmental challenges to drive change in local communities.

Despite one in four of us experiencing a mental health problem in any given year, there is still stigma surrounding mental health. In a survey conducted by Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, it found that nearly a fifth of people (16%) would be too embarrassed or ashamed to ask for help with any mental health problems they experienced while one in ten (13%) still worry about being judged or discriminated against. This ‘Time to Talk’ Day, Nuffield Health is encouraging people to start conversations about their mental health.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital, part of the wider Nuffield Health Charity, has achieved the highest possible rating of excellence by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an inspection in October 2021. The hospital was visited by a CQC team of inspectors and regulation specialists with healthcare expertise who scrutinised all areas of the hospital’s practice, defining it as an ‘Outstanding’ hospital. The Hospital joins Nuffield Health’s Cambridge, Leeds and Tees hospitals in being awarded ‘Outstanding’ CQC ratings.

Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, has completed the acquisition of five hospitals from Aspen Healthcare Limited (30 September 2021). The hospitals are Parkside Private Hospital (Wimbledon), Highgate Private Hospital (London), The Holly Private Hospital (Essex), Cancer Centre London and The Edinburgh Clinic plus central supporting staff. Concurrently, Nuffield Health has also entered into long-term leases with Aspen Healthcare’s owner, NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT, in respect of the five hospitals.
