Nuffield Health named LaingBuisson Private Hospital Group of the Year

With a network of 31 hospitals across the UK,we have concentrated on enhancing patient satisfaction and quality care across the organisation.  In 2016, one of our hospitals – the Nuffield Health Cambridge – became the first independent hospital to receive the highest possible rating of excellence with an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the regulator the Care Quality Commission (CQC). In 2017 Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital and Nuffield Health Tees Hospital also received an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating. To date 94% of our hospitals reviewed by regulators have achieved a rating of good or outstanding.

In accepting the award, our Chief Operations Officer, Martin Friend, said “Nuffield Health is delighted to receive the Private Hospital Group of the Year for the second time. It is an honour to be recognised for two years in a row and is testament to our hardworking and dedicated teams across our hospitals, who day to day ensure our patients’ needs are their priority.”

We were selected from a finalist group of seven private hospital groups within the UK. The finalists included a mixture of not-for-profit, privately owned and publicly listed organisations.
