Nuffield Health Printworks Fitness & Wellbeing Centre re-launches, complete with brand new Medical Centre, following £1 million investment
- Overview
The unique Nuffield Health concept of complete health and wellbeing is reinforced by the addition of an in-house medical centre, which offers full health screenings, physiotherapy, nutritional therapy, GP services and corporate wellbeing services for companies in the area.
Simon Tillot, General Manager, comments:
“After £1 million of investment, we are delighted to provide our members with the unique combination of fitness and medical facilities under one roof. We look at each person’s overall health when helping them to reach their goals. Whether they need physio to fix a niggling injury, have high cholesterol which needs attention or want to maintain their fitness, we have expert staff and facilities in place to help people get healthy and stay healthy.”
At the open day, guests were able to take a tour of the new medical centre and the recently re-furbished gym. They were also able to take part in Synrgy taster classes, compete in Watt Bike challenges and sample taster bites from the new café menu. Each guest was also entered into a prize draw with the chance of winning some fabulous prizes, including a year’s free membership!
Since becoming part of Nuffield Health, the site has been implementing changes to services, facilities, and equipment. Every member can benefit from a free comprehensive Health MOT to give a clear picture of their personal health status and an individual plan to get and keep them fit and healthy for life, whether they need a personal training programme, physiotherapy treatment or to attend a range of exercise classes.
The addition of the Medical Centre at the Printworks site supports the not-for-profit healthcare provider’s commitment to improving health in the North West of England. Nuffield Health continues to invest in the area with a state of the art Hospital and Wellbeing Centre planned as part of a strategic partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University. Together the two will collaborate on research and development, training for local healthcare professionals and fitness, wellbeing and sickness prevention.
