About

Dr Alamgir is a Chartered Psychologist with extensive experience of the NHS and private sector. She has worked across various different NHS trusts, such as City & Hackney PCT, South West London & St. Georges NHS Trust and she currently leads the Pain Management Service in Barts Health NHS Trust.

he is experienced in treating a range of psychological conditions including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, anger, stress management, low self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, social anxiety, relationship distress, long-term conditions, emotional distress related to illness and personality disorder. Dr Alamgir has been trained to use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focussed Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She has extensive experience of treating patients with chronic pain and complex health presentations, and is committed to helping chronic pain patients manage their pain, through evidence-based treatment.
