About
Dr Jegannathen commenced her current post with the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in 2012 and specialises in lung, breast, upper GI and (CUP) carcinoma of unknown primary. In addition to this she also holds the post of Clinical Director for oncology and Haematology at UHNM
She has previously worked as a specialist registrar in the North West region which included 10 months at the Royal Preston hospital and 3.5 years at the Christie hospital in Manchester. In addition to this
Dr Jegannathen was a visiting fellow at the world renowned Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto (Canada) in 2010.
She has comprehensive experience in the management of early breast cancer, locally-advanced disease and metastatic breast and lung cancer and is passionate about the understanding, development and meeting the challenges of cancer management. She is a principal investigator for trials at UHNM for breast and lung.
Dr Jegannathen’s other areas of interest are diverse and include technical radiotherapy treatment and the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates.

In her spare time Dr Jegannathen has a passion for music and plays Veena which is an Indian classical music instrument. Enjoys giving concerts.
