About
Dr Rodrigues is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Oxford University NHS foundation trust since 2007 and Clinical Lead for Paediatric Gastroenterology. He trained and worked at multiple teaching hospitals including Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Bristol Children’s Hospital.
He is an active member of the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition and was a member of the working group in paediatric inflammatory bowel disease. He is also a member of the European Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition.
He has authored several original and invited review journal articles including national guidelines for the treatment of iron deficiency anaemia in children with inflammatory bowel disease. He has also been selected for NICE Medical Technologies Evaluation programme. His other roles involve being an investigator for large national and international multi-centre research studies, and actively involved in teaching undergraduate medical students and paediatric trainees.
