About

Dr Charles Dixon has been a consultant psychiatrist in Exeter with the Devon Partnership NHS Trust since 2008. He has broad experience in adult psychiatry and a particular interest in depression, bipolar affective disorder and anxiety disorders.  

He studied medicine at the University of Birmingham, qualifying in 1999, and undertook his specialist psychiatry training in the West Midlands, gaining his membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2005. He then moved to the South West, gaining experience in drug and alcohol addiction psychiatry, early intervention in psychosis, and acute crisis intervention on wards and in the community.  

He now works as a consultant in the Exeter community team and is the chair of the Devon Partnership NHS Trust consultant committee.

Dr Dixon’s secretary will need to receive a GP referral letter before  offering you an appointment date and time suitable for you.
