About
Dr Boon is an experienced consultant oncologist treating patients with cancers arising from a variety of sites of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including oesophageal, stomach, pancreas, liver, biliary tract, gall bladder, colon, rectum, anal and high-grade neuroendocrine cancers.
Dr Boon specialises in non-surgical treatments including immunotherapy, targeted treatments, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. He is passionate about limiting toxicities with personalised treatments using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology and access to cutting-edge treatments.
Dr Boon is working as a Medical Director for OncoDNA UK to help with the clinical interpretation of NGS reports for the benefit of patients and clinicians. He is also a clinical radiation expert (CRE) for the MHRA responsible for reviewing the safety of radiotherapy doses in UK clinical trials.
