About

Dr Christopher Harland is an experienced Dermatologist, having entered the speciality in 1987. Since then, he has accrued over 30 years of experience at leading NHS Trusts.

Dr Harland qualified in medicine with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1983 in London; an MA at Cambridge University (1987, first class honours); and a Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians (1998). Other memberships include the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and St John’s Dermatological Society and has over 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Honours: President of St John’s Dermatology Society (2016-2017); President of Dermatology Section, RSM (2020-2021); consultant skin oncologist and member of melanoma/skin cancer team at The Royal Marsden Hospitals (2012-2023); Lead Clinician in Skin Cancer at Epsom & St Helier (ESTH) University Hospitals NHS Trust 20 years; Clinical Sub-Dean ESTH (2007-2013)

Specialist interests: mole checks/skin cancer diagnosis; surgical treatment in conjunction with consultant maxillofacial and plastic surgeons; Dermoscopy for sub-surface visualisation of suspicious lesions.

Surgical treatment for lipomas and cysts, cosmetic dermatology, and laser treatment are no longer offered. Dr Harland only sees adults.
