About

Dr Clifford Weir has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Gartnavel General Hospital in Glasgow since 2003 and specialises in adult ocular motility (squints) and diplopia (double vision) treating patients aged 15 and over. In addition, he also treats more general eye conditions such as irritable eyes and dry eyes.

Special interests

I have a subspecialty interest in adult ocular motility (squints) and diplopia (double vision) as outlined above. I work closely with a Senior Specialised Orthoptist, Miss Fiona Steel, to provide a comprehensive service assessing, investigating and treating patients with binocular vision and eye movement disorders.

Other interests

General eye health conditions such as irritable eyes, dry eyes. I also perform YAG laser capsulotomies.
