About
Dr Donah Zachariah is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist specialising in heart rhythm disorders; this would include the evaluation of symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations or blackouts as well as the management of any cardiac devices and related issues. Her area of special interest is ventricular arrhythmias, for which she has undergone extensive training in the UK and in San Raffaele Hospital, Milan Italy under the tutelage of Professor Paolo Della Bella. She has been a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist since 2018 having completed her cardiology training from Wessex deanery, two post CCT electrophysiology fellowships from Bristol Heart Institute and Queen Elizabeth hospital, Birmingham as well as a Masters in Ventricular arrhythmia management from the University of San Raffaele, Italy. She was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine (DM) by the University of Southampton for her research thesis titled 'The cardio renal continuum, a focus on iron deficiency, arrhythmia burden and treatment. Her NHS practice is based at Royal Papworth Hospital Cambridge since March 2023 (previously in a similar role at University Hospitals of North Midlands, Stoke on Trent). She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the European Society of Cardiology.
Specialist treatments offered include catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, supra ventricular tachycardia, atrial tachycardia, ventricular ectopy and ventricular tachycardia.
