About

Dr Edward Sames is a Consultant Rheumatologist and General Physician based at Ashford and St Peter's hospital in Surrey.

He has trained throughout hospitals in the London, Surrey and Sussex area after obtaining his Degree in Medicine from Barts and The London Medical School.

As a Rheumatologist he is able to diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, polymyalgia rheumatica, gout, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and rarer conditions such as lupus and vasculitis. He is able to provide a variety of soft tissue and joint injections. 

Dr Sames has a Masters in Immunology where he worked on one of the antibodies now used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and has remained active in research since. He is currently a Principle Investigator in an ongoing trial at St Peter's Hospital. He is actively involved in teaching both Medical Students and other Junior Doctors he works with.
