About
Dr Khan is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester specialising in the diagnosis and management of all respiratory conditions. He qualified from the University of Leicester in 2010 with a distinction and brings experience and expertise to each patient encounter.
Dr Khan is well-versed in treating all respiratory conditions, with particular expertise in interstitial lung disease (ILD) which includes conditions such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, connective tissue disease-related lung disease, environmental/inhalational lung disease, among many others. He is approved to prescribe specialist anti-fibrotic treatments such as pirfenidone and nintedanib and runs a specialist clinic at Glenfield Hospital receiving referrals from across the region. Dr Khan’s dedication to advancing medical knowledge led him to complete a PhD focused on predicting survival in patients with ILD. His research findings have been published in the most highly regarded respiratory journals, and presented at international conferences, earning him several awards.
Dr Khan regularly lectures to general practitioners, hospital doctors and medical students and holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education. His expertise extends beyond language barriers, with fluency in Hindi and Urdu, and an understanding of Gujarati and Punjabi, enabling him to provide personalised and effective care.
