About

I qualified from St Bartholomew’s & the Royal London School of Medicine in 1998 and spent the first 5 years working in major teaching hospitals in London including the Royal Free Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. During this time, I gained a broad range of experience working in acute and emergency medicine. After completing my MRCP qualification, I specialised in family medicine and have more than 18 years’ experience working as an NHS GP.

I am passionate about providing comprehensive, holistic and high-quality care to my patients and have extensive experience dealing with chronic medical conditions including heart disease, diabetes, respiratory, gastrointestinal complaints, musculoskeletal disorders and women’s and children’s health.

I currently work as an NHS and private GP and value the longer appointment times offered in the private sector. This allows a more personalised and comprehensive approach to care including time for health promotion. I have additional experience in education and research which keeps me at the forefront of medicine.

Special interests

I am interested in all areas of General Practice including chronic disease. I have a further subspeciality interest in genetic medicine, preventative healthcare and early cancer diagnosis. I teach GPs and GP trainees about genomic medicine and work as a GP Appraiser and Examiner. My research interests relate to early cancer diagnosis.
