About
Dr Corbett qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School in London and undertook postgraduate training in East Anglia. He spent 4 years at Addenbrooke’s Hospital as Registrar in Gastroenterology.
He is a subspecialist in advanced endoscopy and qualified as a bowel cancer screening colonoscopist. He has extensive experience with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions. His particular interest is the use of diet manipulation to control the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and abdominal pain conditions.
Dr Corbett sees patients from 18 years of age only.
Special interests
Dr Corbett is a consultant gastroenterologist and Clinical Director for Digestive Diseases at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He has previously been clinical lead for endoscopy and clinical lead for gastroenterology. He has extensive experience with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions including irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Coeliac Disease, Acid Reflux, Gallstones and abdominal pain syndromes. He has a particular interest in the use of non-medical treatments to control the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and abdominal pain conditions.
Dr Corbett is able to offer his patients a wide range of endoscopic procedures including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, ERCP and wireless capsule endoscopy. He is a subspecialist in endoscopy, with accreditation as a national bowel cancer screening colonoscopist. He also provides advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including endoluminal stenting and endoscopic resection of colorectal and duodenal lesions.
He also accepts referrals from other specialists who recommend that their patients should be investigated with a capsule endoscopy.
Dr
Corbett qualified from St George's Hospital Medical School in London in
2002. He undertook his postgraduate training in East Anglia and was
appointed as a consultant at Addenbrooke's in 2013.
Other interests
Dr
Corbett also has a background in aviation and military gastroenterology. He is the author of the chapter in Ernsting's Aviation and Space Medicine
concerning Aviation Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Personal interests
Dr Corbett spends the
majority of his time outside of work with his lovely family, undertaking all
manner of activities for a Dad with young children. In his own time, his
love is playing live music. He regularly plays in a jam session in
Cambridge playing electric guitar, bass guitar and occasional vocals!
