About
Dr Agarwal trained as a specialist registrar in London and South-east England until 2010 resulting in Certificate of Completion of training. He has been a Consultant in Acute and General Medicine with special interest in Endocrinology and Diabetes since.
He is a GMC recognised trainer, clinical and educational supervisor to postgraduate medical trainees and undergraduate medical students. He is also a member of the regional specialist training committee for Acute Medicine.
Dr Agarwal was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2016.
He was awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Endocrinology and Diabetes from Queen Mary’s University of London with Distinction in 2015 and offers care to patients with hormonal disorders such as diabetes, thyroid & parathyroid problems, adrenal and pituitary issues as well as imbalances in sex hormones.
He is skilled in emergency management of acute medical illness such as pneumonia, breathlessness and atrial fibrillation to name a few. He is also an expert in chronic general medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood sugars & high cholesterol.
Dr Agarwal has been the Clinical Lead of Acute Medical Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust now for more than a decade and has received multiple Clinical Excellence Awards for care he offers his patients.
He offers in-patient and out-patient face-to-face (& remote consults); diagnosing, investigating, taking time to explain the necessary treatment plan and educating his patients to achieve best outcomes. Dr Agarwal is passionate about life-style modification to maintain good health and prevent disease.
