About
Dr Agarwal trained in London and South-east England as a specialist-registrar from 2006 to 2010, and has been a Consultant in Acute and General Medicine ever since.
He is skilled in urgent and emergency management of acute medical illness such as pneumonia and atrial fibrillation, as well as chronic general medical health conditions like breathlessness, chest pain, hormonal disorders, high blood pressure, high blood sugars and high cholesterol.
He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Endocrinology and Diabetes from Queen Mary’s University of London (with Distinction) and offers care to patients with hormonal disorders such as diabetes, thyroid problems, adrenal and pituitary problems.
He has been the lead Acute Physician at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust now for nearly a decade.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has been awarded for the excellent clinical care that he offers his patients.
He is a member of the regional specialist training committee for Acute Medicine and an educational and clinical supervisor to all grades of medical trainees.
He aims to offer holistic care on an in-patient or out-patient basis taking time to explain the necessary investigations and results and working with his patients to achieve the best outcomes by increasing their own knowledge and understanding of the disease being looked after.
He is passionate about maintaining good health and wellbeing and
encourages assessment of people to reduce future health risks including weight
management.
