About

Dr Babu is a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist in the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital and Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital.  He carried out his cardiology specialty training at London's prestigious cardiac centres (London Heart Hospital and St. Bartholomew's hospital).  He then obtained MD (Res) from the prestigious University College London (UCL)  in 2010 in Cardiology and advanced VT ablation fellowship (sabbatical) at San Raffaele hospital Milan, Italy.   


His sub-specialty interest is cardiac arrhythmia management and device implantation (Cardiac Electrophysiology) and treats all aspects of cardiac arrhythmia.  His specific specialist procedural skills for cardiac patient care includes, Atrial Fibrillation ablation (Radiofrequency and Cryo ablation), Electrophysiology study and ablation of Supraventricular Tachycardias, Atrial Flutter ablation, Ablation of Ventricular Tachycardias, Implantation of Pacemakers, Intra cardiac Defibrillators (ICD), Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT) pacemakers and defibrillators, Subcutaneous ICDs and Device/Lead extractions.
