About
Dr Gordon qualified from the Royal Free Hospital in London 1993, where he undertook his early postgraduate training before moving to Wessex for specialist gastroenterology training, working in Portsmouth, Southampton, and Winchester. He has extensive experience in all aspects of clinical gastroenterology, hepatology and general medicine with particular sub-speciality interests in luminal gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy. He was awarded a DM by the University of Southampton in 2006, and has published widely in the fields of inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease.
He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital Winchester in 2008 where he is the clinical lead for the inflammatory bowel disease service, and maintains an active research interest with ongoing projects in IBD and IBS. He also has a specialist interest in advanced endoscopy including ERCP and colonic EMR, and is an accredited bowel cancer screener and mentor for the Hampshire Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
Personal interests
Dr Gordon is married and has three young children. He enjoys cricket, fly fishing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and snowboarding (on the rare occasions time and weather coincide).
