About

Dr Katherine Irving is a Consultant Rheumatologist at King's College Hospital. After graduating from Oxford University she trained in medicine at University College London and Manchester University. She completed specialist training in General Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in London and has been practising as a Consultant Rheumatologist since 2008. 

She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of general rheumatological conditions and has a special interest in early inflammatory arthritis and acute rheumatology presentations. She also has a special interest in fibromyalgia, complexity and the psychological aspects of living with long term conditions. She was a lead consultant in the award-winning Guy's multidisciplinary fibromyalgia service and continues to work within multidisciplinary teams to provide individualised specialist care to people with complex pain and rheumatological conditions.
