Dr Kirsty Gillies

Dr Gillies is a GP with further specialist training in women’s health, particularly menopause care.

She qualified from Edinburgh Medical School in 2006. She initially trained in Respiratory Medicine and gained membership of the Royal College of Physicians. She changed to General Practice and completed her GP training in Oxford. Dr Gillies moved to Devon in 2018 where she has worked as an NHS GP and developed her experience in women’s health. In 2023, she completed the Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care from the Faculty of Reproductive and Sexual Health. 

Dr Gillies is a member of the St Erme Medical team led by Dr Sarah Gray. As they are based in Cornwall she has been only able to offer remote appointments for the last eighteen months but is excited now to be able to offer face-to-face appointments at Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital. Dr Gillies continues to work as an NHS GP. She provides education at undergraduate level offering special study modules for Year 1 and Year 3 students at the University of Exeter Medical School. She facilitates on the Menopause Special Skills Course for experienced healthcare professionals run by Dr Sarah Gray and recognised by the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Dr Gillies has two boys and a golden retriever. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking and being on the beach.
