Dr Mark Jackson is an experienced consultant in Pain management and Anaesthetics. He qualified from Leeds medical school in 1996 and completed his Anaesthesia and Advanced Pain management training on the West Yorkshire training rotation in 2005. Following the completion of his UK training he undertook a further two years of specialist pain management training in Sydney Australia and successfully completed the Australian faculty of Pain management examinations and was awarded FFPMANZCA. He returned to the UK in 2008 to take up his current position as a Consultant in Pain management and Anaesthesia at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital.
He has a particular interest in mechanical back and neck pain, persistent neuropathic pain, chronic pain following surgery and Fibromyalgia. He has a specialist interest in Spinal cord stimulation, which is an advanced pain management technique for patients who have persistent neuropathic pain.
