About

Dr Maria Raptaki graduated from medical school in Greece in 2006; she was awarded with a Master’s degree (MSc) in Paediatrics and Research from the University of Athens in 2011.

Dr Raptaki joined the specialist register for Paediatrics in 2018 after completion of her training in Tertiary-level University Hospitals of Athens, Manchester, Newcastle and Hull. She was then trained in Paediatric Allergy in Birmingham and received the RCPCH SPIN Allergy Certification in 2022.

Since then, she has been an active member of Midlands Paediatric Allergy Group committee and British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Dr Raptaki is a Consultant in Paediatric Allergy at the University Hospital of Leicester. Her work has resulted in multiple published papers and presentations at national conferences focusing on evidence-based practices that address the needs of paediatric population and reinforce the importance of integrating scientific inquiry with clinical application.
