About
Dr Masud Haq is a highly regarded consultant in diabetes, endocrinology and medicine. With over 28 years of experience, he has a particular interest in the thyroid, menopause, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and medical weight loss treatments. Dr Haq trained at Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and St.Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne, qualifying in 1995 with distinction. He subsequently trained at some of the most prestigious centres in London including the Royal Brompton, St.George's, Atkinson Morley's and Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. On completion of his training, he attained dual accreditation in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine in 2006.
Dr Haq was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians in 2010 (FRCP) and a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015 (DRCOG). He was the Clinical Lead of his department between 2012 and 2020 and established the West Kent integrated community diabetes service. In recognition of his work, he was a double finalist at the National HSJ Value Awards 2021. He was also on the Joint British Diabetes Society (JBDS) inpatient care group during this time. Dr Haq aims to provide high-quality care to his patients with a kind and personal approach.

Personal interests
Masud loves spending time with his two nephews. He is a keen sportsman, so if not hiking up the Brecon Beacons, he will be on his road bike raising money for children’s charities.

Dr Haq completed a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) at the Royal Marsden Hospital in thyroid disease with his work leading to several national and international presentations. He has published over 140 articles including peer reviewed journals, book chapters, abstracts & posters. He was Principal Investigator for the ADDRESS-2 (After-Diagnosis Diabetes REsearch Support System) study funded by National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR). He was also a local investigator for the National Dapagliflozin Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD) Study and Worldwide Diabetes Omnipod Study.
