About
Dr Walji was appointed to the post of Consultant Clinical Oncologist at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in March 2010. He also has clinics at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust as a visiting oncologist. Dr Walji specialises in the non-surgical management of breast and gynaecological cancers. His areas of expertise include the use of chemotherapy, radiotherapy including brachytherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapies and bisphosphonates, and life-styles measures, for the treatment of early and advanced breast and gynaecological cancers. His areas of interest include the use of genomic assays to personalise cancer treatment and chemo-prevention strategies to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.
His other area of interest is post-graduate medical education and Dr Walji is involved on a local and national level with post-graduate medical education in Clinical Oncology.
