About
Dr Oliver Gosling is a Consultant Cardiologist and has worked at Musgrove Park hospital since 2013. He is the cardiac lead for imaging and specialises in the investigation of cardiac symptoms using ultrasound (echocardiography), computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Dr Gosling utilizes the different imaging modalities to investigate and diagnose cardiac conditions.
He completed his speciality training in the southwest after a fellowship in cardiac imaging at Exeter and Derriford Hospitals. His research lead to publications in peer-reviewed journals and the results influenced national guidelines for cardiac CT. He holds advanced qualifications in cardiac CT and echocardiography.
Dr Gosling has expertise in all aspects of cardiology including the assessment of palpitation, breathlessness, chest pain, coronary disease, rhythm disorders and valve disease. He also implants permanent pacemakers which is performed at Musgrove Park Hospital.
