Dr Omay Lee

Dr Omay Lee is a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist based at Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and is an Honorary Consultant Neurophysiologist at St George’s Hospital London.

Dr Lee undertook her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Cambridge, with an intercalated degree in Natural Sciences, completing her clinical training in London. She then undertook foundation training at Wessex deanery with medical and surgical rotations in Southampton General Hospital, then postgraduate core and higher training in Edinburgh with posts in psychiatry, general acute and internal medicine, and neurology. She then completed a clinical research fellowship at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, undertaking basic laboratory research in neurodevelopmental genetics. She then completed higher specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology in London at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

At the Nuffield Hospital, she provides a full neuromuscular service using EMG and nerve conduction studies. She commonly assesses patients with acute or chronic nerve and muscle conditions, including entrapment neuropathies, nerve root problems, peripheral neuropathies, myasthenia gravis, as well as more rare nerve and muscle conditions.
