About

Dr Choudhary performs EMG (Electromyography) and NCS (Nerve Conduction Study) for diagnosis of all neuromuscular conditions across all age groups. Most of the referrals are patients complaining of pins and needles in the hands (e.g. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or Ulnar neuropathy), feet (Peripheral Neuropathy) or pains in the limbs such as Sciatica and Cervical Radiculopathy (Trapped nerves in the lower back or the neck). Several patients are referred for possible nerve damage after an accident or surgery.

He trained as a Neurologist from India having completed Graduation, Post-Graduation in Medicine and Sub-specialization in Neurology from Mumbai University. Subsequently, he worked in neurology at several hospitals in the UK in various capacities and researched neuropathy at Guy’s Hospital. He received Neurophysiology CCT training at King’s College Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. He became a consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham. Since 2002, he became an Independent Practitioner performing ONLY EMG/NC studies for neuromuscular disorders. He performs around 5000 tests in a year.
