Dr Rachael Jolley

Dr Jolley first qualified as a paediatric nurse in 2007 working on paediatric intensive care at UHNM. She then undertook her undergraduate medical training at Keele University, graduating in 2013. During her 5 years as a junior doctor, she worked in various specialties, including Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Neonatal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Psychiatry, before qualifying as a GP in 2018.

She was employed as a salaried GP at two practices in Trentham until September 2021 when she was successfully appointed as the Named GP for Child Safeguarding for North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent. She works as an NHS GP alongside this role. 

She believes her journey has enabled her to have a good understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of the healthcare team and how we work together to optimise patient care. She ensures her patient welfare remains at the centre of her practice, adopting a holistic approach and negotiating with patients about their care. She strives to further develop her knowledge and skills at every available opportunity in order to practice safely, effectively and keeping herself up to date with the latest medical guidance.
