About
Dr Rossella Barbagallo is a Consultant Cardiologist at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital, specialising in adult cardiology.
Dr Barbagallo qualified in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Catania, Italy, in 2003, with the highest academic score achievable (110 cum laude). In addition, she diagnoses and treats a wide range of adult cardiac conditions, such as ischaemic heart disease, heart failure and rhythm abnormalities.
Dr Barbagallo has expertise in echocardiography, including:
- transthoracic echocardiography
- stress echocardiography
- transoesophageal echocardiography
and cardiac magnetic resonance, with accreditations awarded by professional societies.
Dr Barbagallo regularly sees patients in her NHS clinic at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre and she is also involved in the management of adult patients admitted with acute cardiac conditions.
Dr Barbagallo strongly believes in holistic patient centred care, which she successfully practices.
