About

Diabetes is on the increase.  With over 3 million people in the UK diagnosed with Diabetes, many people will either have Diabetes or know someone close to them who has Diabetes. For people with Diabetes it can affect many aspects of their life and be very distressing.  It is important to be well informed about Diabetes, including how to treat it as well as how to prevent the complications arising from the condition.

Dr Rea is well qualified as a Diabetes consultant in Oxford to listen to people with Diabetes and help guide them in how to 'live well' with Diabetes.  With over 10 years’ experience as a consultant in Derby and Oxford, including leading the Derby service to achieve multiple national awards, he is able to give an expert opinion on a wide range of Diabetes problems. These may include how to best prepare for surgery, how to avoid the complications of Diabetes, what is the best treatment with the fewest side effects or just spending time talking through how Diabetes is affecting your life.

Initial consultations are 40 minutes with follow-up consultations of 20-30 minutes to review the person's progress in achieving their goals.  These consultations are usually on a Monday evening but can be made at other times to suit the person with Diabetes.
