Dr Ayaz qualified from St Georges University of London Medical School. She completed a BSc (Hons) in Human Physiology and Anatomy from Kings College London.
She undertook her postgraduate training at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust gaining a wealth of experience in a variety of medical specialities including Respiratory medicine, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine and Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Dr Ayaz has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners and holds a diploma in family planning with a special interest in women’s health, cardiovascular medicine and medical education.
She is a member of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society and completed the Health Innovation CVD Prevention Fellowship and is working with the South West London Integrated Care team to help design a healthy heart app as part of CVD prevention in the community.
Dr Ayaz is also a GP mentor and trainer and a GP appraiser. She is an undergraduate examiner and interview panellist for Imperial College and St George’s University of London medical schools.
Alongside her clinical and educational roles, Dr Ayaz is a board member of the Royal College of GPs South London Faculty and has been appointed a careers health ambassador for NHS England.
Dr Ayaz is also the editor of the RCGP InnovAiT podcasts, a valuable educational resource for GP trainees and educators.
She is passionate about serving her community and works closely with local charities and organisations in helping to promote health and wellbeing.
