About
Sandeep graduated in 1997 from the University of Edinburgh, and completed his specialist training in both Rheumatology and General Medicine from Oxford. He has been a Consultant Rheumatologist at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital and Gartnavel General Hospital since 2008. He was appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow in 2010, and more recently as Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in 2015.
He was given the accolade of “Medical Professional of the Year 2017” at the Scottish Asian & Business Awards at the awards ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow in December 2017.
He has broad clinical experience in all areas of Rheumatology from arthritis through to connective tissue disease, gout and all forms of musculoskeletal pain. He provides a complete range of Rheumatological treatments including: intra articular (joint) and soft tissue injections, intra-venous therapies, immunosuppressive treatments, disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, and the latest biological therapies.
Using a multidisciplinary approach and evidenced based medicine he believes in delivering the highest standards of personalised patient care.
Sandeep also has a specialist interest in Sports Medicine, having completed his Masters at University College London. He has skills both in acupuncture and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He was appointed as Medical Team Leader for the Field of Play during the London Olympics 2012, and more recently was the Sports Doctor at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014.
