About

Dr Sanjay Rao is an experienced and dedicated consultant in General Adult Psychiatry, with a special interest in bipolar disorders and ADHD. With over two decades of practice as a psychiatrist, he has developed a deep understanding of various mental health conditions and their effective management. Dr Rao's expertise extends to the management of treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, psychosis, and personality difficulties.

Currently, Dr Rao works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in LPT (Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust) and covers inner city Leicester. He has held the role of Training Program Director for Higher Trainees and has also worked as a medical advisor for the Ombudsman.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Rao has gained good experience in medico-legal reports, supported by his postgraduate diploma in mental law. This expertise allows him to provide valuable insights and support in legal matters related to mental health.
