About
Dr Stacey is a consultant in later life psychiatry. She trained at the University of Birmingham, but is originally from Suffolk. She currently works on Willows Ward at the Woodlands Unit at Ipswich Hospital.
Dr Stacey’s speciality and experience includes the assessment, diagnosis and management of both functional illness (such as depression and anxiety related illnesses) and also the assessment, diagnosis and management of organic illnesses (memory problems, ranging from mild impairment to dementia).
Dr Stacey has some training and a special interest in Compassion Focused Therapy, a form of psychological (talking) therapy which has been shown to be effective for a number of conditions.
Colleague feedback from Dr Stacey’s other places of work always reflect that Dr Stacey is a very warm and approachable person with a good clinical knowledge and a focus on holistic and individualised care.
Personal interests
Dr Stacey is a mum and also enjoys looking after a variety of pets, being with friends and family, crafts and yoga.
