About
Dr Chakka is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthetics at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital.
He qualified as a doctor from India in 1997, completed his Masters in Anaesthesia in 2001 and relocated to the UK in 2004. Having completed speciality training in Anaesthesia, he pursued his interest in pain medicine and completed advanced pain training in the North East of England. He then completed a post CCT fellowship in pain medicine at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
Dr Chakka's pain management is based on comprehensive, evidence-based practice focusing on all aspects of long-term pain conditions. Treatments are personalised to suit patients’ needs. He offers ultrasound / x-ray guided interventions in addition to medical management.
Special interests
Dr Chakka treats patients with axial back pain, sciatica, radicular pain, piriformis syndrome, widespread pain conditions, complex regional pain syndrome, shoulder pain, persistent knee pain, peripheral nerve pain, occipital neuralgia and headaches.
He also offers facet joint blocks, medial branch blocks, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency procedures, pulsed radiofrequency, nerve root injections, epidural injections, caudal blocks, sympathetic blocks, greater occipital nerve blocks, trigger point injections, peripheral nerve blocks and Lidocaine infusions.
