Dr Venk Suresh

Dr Suresh completed his undergraduate training in India and his general medicine training in the UK and was awarded MRCP London in 1998. He became a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians London (FRCP) in 2008. After intense postgraduate training in general and interventional cardiology in South-West of England, he obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in cardiology in 2009.

His research was on stem cells contributing the healing of heart muscle after a heart attack in Wythenshawe, Manchester and was awarded MD by the University of Manchester in 2008.

He has been practicing as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at University Hospitals Plymouth in 2009.

Specialises in performing radial coronary angiogram, simple and complex angioplasties, pacemaker implantation.

Specialise in performing structural heart disease intervention including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI - Keyhole surgery) and Transcatheter Mitral valve edge to edge repair (TEER) – Keyhole surgery).

Performs high volume coronary angioplasties and structural heart disease interventional procedures with an excellent outcome.
