Dr Vera Martins

Dr Vera Martins is an independent GP working around Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells areas. She obtained her medical degree in 2011 from Kings College London School of Medicine. She also has a BSc in Nutrition. She became a GP in 2017 having completed her vocational training scheme locally at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. She has over 10 years of experience working in the NHS and has developed a broad range of skills and knowledge in most specialities of medicine.

She has a passion for general practice and the role it plays in understanding all aspects of a patient’s story. She enjoys the continuity and holistic approach of family medicine. She has a special interest in women’s health, including menopause, which she is currently completing an advanced certification in, and she is also an experienced coil and contraceptive implant fitter. 

Dr Martins has been working as a GP in the local Post Covid Assessment Service since it started in May 2021 and has developed first-hand experience in managing the new and very debilitating Long Covid condition.

She has experience and a special interest in the care of older adults and works locally as a frailty GP lead.
