About
Claire has worked in Gynaecology since 2004. She previously worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Birmingham City Hospital where she ran a specialist vulval service and was hospital Lead for colposcopy.
In 2019 Claire founded ‘The Vulval Clinic’, a dedicated clinic to manage women with vulval disorders including lichen sclerosis, lichen planus, recurrent thrush, vulval pain, painful sex and pre-cancer of the vulva. Claire has a particular interest in vulval pain disorders including Vulvodynia and has specialist skills in psychosexual medicine.
Claire is a certified colposcopist and manages any abnormal smear test. She is also able to help women who find smear tests difficult.
As well as these specialist areas of gynaecology. Claire also regularly manages women with period problems, contraception, PCOS, menopause symptoms and HRT issues.
