About

Miss Katia Sindali is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon and is on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for plastic surgery.

She graduated from King’s College, London, in 2006 and completed her surgical training in London and the South East. She was appointed as a specialty registrar in the Pan Thames deanery where she undertook her higher surgical training in plastic surgery. 

As a registrar, she completed an International Master’s degree in Reconstructive Microsurgery (MSc).

At the end of her training, Miss Sindali completed two prestigious microsurgery fellowships at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ hospitals in London and Queen Victoria Hospital. During this time, she gained a lot of experience in various reconstructive procedures, in particular microsurgical breast reconstruction. She also completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship at The McIndoe Centre and has been trained in all aspects of cosmetic surgery. She was awarded the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Plastic Surgery or FRCS(Plast) as well as the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery fellowship.

Katia is passionate about her work and has a warm, gentle demeanour that puts her patients at ease. She values clear and open communication to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved.

Special interests

Reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery: augmentation(enlargement), composite augmentation, fat transfer, mastopexy (uplift), reduction, and correction of asymmetry.

All aspects of body contouring: abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, fat transfer, brachioplasty (arm lift), thigh lift.

Non-surgical facial rejuvenation (botox, fillers and skin boosters).

Research

Ms Sindali’s research interests predominantly involve breast reconstruction using the patient’s own tissue (autologous reconstruction). She completed a Master’s degree in microsurgery while she was a trainee. She has presented her work nationally and internationally and holds a number of publications on this subject. She is also interested in teaching and education and is currently the surgical tutor at Queen Victoria Hospital where she practices in the NHS.
