About

Laura is the clinical lead in St Bartholomew's breast unit and the Network Director for breast services throughout Bart's Health. She joined Bart's as a Consultant oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon in 2016 having undertaken her undergraduate training and post graduate doctorate at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School and higher surgical training in the London and Kent. Her postgraduate training concluded with national oncoplastic fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital. 

Laura also holds a post-graduate certificate in medical education and is a faculty member for a number of post-graduate courses including the Master’s degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. She has a special interest in implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) and illnesses related to breast implants and has published extensively in this area.

Laura believes in tailoring care for each individual patient by using the best available evidence to identify a range of suitable treatment options to help the patient decide upon the best course of care for them. Outside of medicine she is very a keen cyclist, skier and generally enjoys being in the great outdoors as a break from her clinical and managerial responsibilities.
