About
Mr Simons qualified from Guys Hospital in London and trained in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at various hospitals in the West Midlands, including Stoke and Oswestry. He had Fellowship training in Hand surgery in Manchester. He now has over 25 years of experience in upper limb surgery and has taught shoulder replacements at both National and International courses. He has taught and been a course director for courses at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Mr Simons specialises in hand and upper limb surgery including the following:
- Shoulder surgery - including arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation, decompression and tendon repair, shoulder replacement
- Elbow - arthroscopic open surgery including joint replacement
- Wrist and hand surgery - including carpal tunnel, Dupuytren's disease and arthritis of the fingers and base of the thumb
