About

I have a specialist interest in Lymphoedema and introduced LVA into the UK in 2014 with Prof Dominic Furniss. I have trained in Japan, US and Europe and now teach and lecture on lymphoedema surgery both nationally and internationally. My main NHS role is the lead plastic surgeon in the Oxford Bone Infection Unit, which is a world-leading centre for the specialist treatment of osteomyelitis, fracture-related infections and prosthetic joint infections. I work closely with orthopaedic surgeons and infection doctors to deliver integrated patient-centred care. I train plastic surgery trainees and fellows, lecture widely, have held various senior clinical management roles and play an active role for international medical societies regarding infection and microsurgery. My time is balanced between NHS work, independent surgical practice and medicolegal work.
