About
Mr Alhasso gained wide urological experience through the East Scotland Urology Training Scheme and took up his current post as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Western General Hospital and Borders General Hospital, He provides both general urology expertise and subspecialisation in female urology, functional urology, urodynamics and Genito-urethral reconstructive urology.
He was a research fellow at Imperial College School of Medicine, University of London studying bladder cancer and achieved a Master's degree in Surgical Sciences in 2000. He is also a reviewer for the Cochrane Collaboration/Incontinence group and has published systematic reviews and meta-analyses on urinary incontinence in men and women. A member of the International Continence Society, the European Association of Urology and the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
