About
Mr Armstrong is a Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon and also Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, Medical School. He undertook basic surgical rotation in the East Midlands before spending 18 months as Research Fellow to Professor Frank Burke at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre, then based at the DRI.
Subsequently he attained his registrar training number in the Trent Region and continued to gain more hand surgery experience, working in Derby and Nottingham hand units.
He was awarded the ATP in Hand Surgery in Oxford, both at the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
He was appointed Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in 2014.

Personal interests
Mr Armstrong is a keen and proficient singer, often taking up lead roles in productions, including the Theatre Royal, Nottingham. He is also a keen musician and can be found, work permitting, in the orchestra pit playing violin. He also plays piano, saxophone and guitar amongst others.
