About
Mr David Luff is a highly respected Consultant ENT Surgeon with over 24 years of ENT experience. He sees a very wide range of ENT conditions, both in children and adults (details can be found below). He was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon in 2005 at the Countess of Chester Hospital, following Higher Surgical Training in Manchester and other units in the North West.
His previous roles have included Clinical Lead for ENT at the Countess of Chester Hospital; Educational Supervisor for ENT trainees at the Countess of Chester Hospital; Member of STEC Training Committee, Health Education North West; Honorary Lecturer Liverpool Medical School; ENT Medical Advisory Committee Representative at Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital, Chester.
In July 2019, he left his NHS Consultant practice at the Countess of Chester Hospital after 14 years to work solely in the private sector.
Conditions seen include:
Childrens ENT - hearing loss and glue ear, ear infections, grommet insertion, nasal symptoms including obstruction/blockage, allergy testing, adenoidectomy, sore throats/tonsillitis, tonsillectomy, snoring and sleep apnoea syndrome, division of tongue-tie.
Adult ENT - any ear
condition including hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, ear infections, glue ear,
ear surgery including grommet insertion, tympanoplasty, Bone Anchored Hearing
Aids (BAHA). Any nasal or sinus condition including blocked nose, facial pain, sinus
infections/ sinusitis, allergy testing, sinus surgery / FESS (Functional
Endoscopic Sinus Surgery), snoring, sleep-disordered breathing, sleep apnoea
syndrome. Any throat condition including sore throats, altered swallowing,
hoarse voice, lump in throat sensation (globus) and neck lumps.
