About

Mr David has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic surgeon since 1998 working both in the NHS and in Private Practice. He has extensive experience in caring for patients with cataracts, glaucoma and a wide range of eyelid abnormalities including tumours, droopy lids, ‘eye bags’ and ‘watery’ eyes. He is well versed in diagnosing general visual problems such as sudden drop in vision or double vision.

Mr David began his undergraduate medical training at the University of Alberta, Canada in 1981, qualifying in 1985.  His internship was based at McGill University.  Upon completion of his general training he took up family practice in Calgary, Canada. During this period of time he decided to specialise in ophthalmology and train in the United Kingdom. His ophthalmology career started in 1991 at St Paul’s Eye Hospital (Liverpool) and progressed to registrar and senior registrar training at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital (Birmingham). He spent some time training in Brisbane before returning to England as a fellow in Oculoplastics at the Bristol Eye Hospital (Bristol).

In 1998, Mr David began work as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at South Warwickshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has a wide range of experience in small incision cataract surgery and is currently gathering results of post operative vision for a series of unselected (all degrees of difficulty) patients.
