About
Mr Geutjens has more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of knee surgery.
He is the Consulting Surgeon to Derby County Football Club, Derby Rugby Club, Burton Albion Football Club and Derby Trailblazers Basketball Club.
Mr Geutjens has extensive experience particularly in sports related knee and ankle injuries, with a personal series of more than 5000 arthroscopies and over 2000 cruciate ligament reconstructions.
He also has considerable experience in knee replacements as well as osteotomies around the knee.
His special interest is in cartilage resurfacing procedures, meniscal cartilage repair and arthritis in the younger patient.

Research
Mr Geutjens has published research in leading knee surgery and sports medicine journals as well as the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
Most research is related to arthroscopy of the knee, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and knee replacement, as well as soft tissue repair of difficult muscle injuries.
Mr Geutjens lectures on national courses dedicated to complex knee ligament reconstruction, teaching other knee surgeons, and has been an invited lecturer internationally.
