About
Mr Dunn trained in the West of Scotland urology programme. At the time there was no established laparoscopic (keyhole) urological surgical service in the region. He arranged to spend a year in Australia where he learned this technique and has established a high volume laparoscopic service in NHS Lanarkshire.
As well as a general urology service, he is able to offer microsurgical vasectomy reversal, and Botulinum toxin therapy for overactive bladder problems.
Mr Dunn specialises in the following treatments at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital:
Other interests
Mr Dunn is committed to lifelong learning and teaching. He is an examiner on the FRCS (Urol) revision course, helping to prepare the consultant urologists of tomorrow. He is also involved in national training courses in laparoscopic surgery.
Personal interests
As a urologist, Mr Dunn is in the privileged position of often being one of the first doctors that many men have seen since childhood. He believes that this is an opportunity to look at all aspects, not just urological ones, of health.
Mr Dunn lives in Glasgow with his wife (a cancer specialist) and three children. He enjoys keeping fit and playing golf badly.
